  Really enjoyed my meal and stay. Worthy of their star and I certainly will return. Staff were friendly and very welcoming food to an excellent standard and extremely tasty. Starter of belly pork was delicious and out of this world, veal outstanding, my pheasant was soso lentils were a little hard and bird tough, cheesecake impressive and a great eat, passion fruit parfait was more like a foam and not as pretty a plate but still enjoyed nonetheless. Room was pleasant bed a bit soft but fine for a one night stay. Continental Breakfast was the perfect match to the previous nights indulgence. I look forward to when I can visit again.

  We have been twice in the last year once in the evening and the other with the kids for Sunday lunch. The tasting menus are to a very good standard and definitely worthy of the Michelin star it has with a few of the dishes reaching exceptional on occasion and nearly all the other dishes being very good apart from that. Portions a little smaller than I'd like even if it is fine dining so the more hungry in the party will definitely eat all the lovely bread provided. I also enjoyed the wine pairing when I had it. I really rather like the serving team who are friendly and enthusiastic in a simple, elegant and quietish dining room. It's our favourite restaurant in Hampshire and worth the 45 minute drive from Chandlers Ford. Getting very close to getting full marks from me.
